Strategically Wild exists to close one of conservation’s most persistent gaps: the distance between bold ambition and real-world delivery, turning complex species survival challenges into actionable solutions and collaborative impact.
Founded by Dr Kira Mileham, Strategically Wild brings together deep global experience, trusted relationships, and a clear-eyed focus on outcomes. They work at the intersection of science, policy, partnerships and funding, translating complexity into strategies that are not only credible, but implementable, scalable and measurable.
Strategically Wild required a logo for their conservation consulting practice reflecting nature, sustainability, collaboration and momentum. The red-tailed black cockatoo was suggested to symbolise hope, as a threatened but now stabilising species in Australia.
The importance of collaboration was articulated in the briefing stage. A key requirement was to ensure the logo harmonised to sit equally alongside partners in the visual ‘brand landscape’ of conservation organisations, reinforcing collaboration and partnership over the individual.
Just North delivered a logo for Strategically Wild that embraces the established blues and greens of the environmental sector. The black cockatoo is in active flight, with the circular typographic ligatures and flourish reflecting collaboration, connection and ripples of impact. The supporting globe symbol was developed to complement the logo and work stand-alone without text where required.
