Yes, I’m a graphic designer but I also love to draw, paint and write. Like many designers I discovered my career through a childhood love of art. Design lead me on a different path and life got busy, so painting was soon forgotten. Then came 2020. While many Aussies turned to baking sourdough (I hate cooking), I asked for a canvas for my birthday. I walked past it for 9 months, too intimidated by the blank surface to pick up the paint brush, until one morning I did!

Life is full of seasons and I’m excited to be painting once again, with the attention to detail, composition and colour honed from years of design. I like to capture light and the beauty in the everyday – details we often miss in the day-to-day rush. Botanicals, landscapes and still life! l love preserving memories and moments in paint. Objects can evoke such vivid memories and help preserve important stories. From capturing much-loved pets, favourite travel destinations, garden blooms, or a special heirloom tea cup, the options are endless.
