Young People’s Theatre (YPT) is a community-run not for profit organisation that has been championing youth theatre in the Hunter Region for over 70 years.
YPT is a vibrant and active Arts organisation and theatrical training institution that continues to foster their founders aim of ‘theatre for young people by young people’, with casts, stage and technical crews predominately comprised of students.
Young People’s Theatre required a new responsive website that could be easily updated to keep up with their active and ever-evolving organisation. With over 400 students in their Theatre School and staging six major productions a year, their website is a crucial communication tool for students, families and theatre audiences alike.
I designed a vibrant, youthful and highly visual, customised website to reflect the spirit of the organisation. With a large amount of information to convey, care was taken to ensure the site was intuitive to navigate, with information presented clearly. Photo galleries were included for past and current productions that document the long history of the organisation in Newcastle.
